The Story

I am so excited to introduce you to my menu and my catering services.

My love of cooking comes from my homeland of Burkina Faso, a country in West Africa where I was born. I learned to cook when I was very young, from my mother and from my father as well. I came to Lancaster County when I married my husband, a Lancaster County native.

Isabelle Cuisine was born from my love of cooking and eating, which only grew when I moved to Lancaster in 2000 and discovered all the fresh produce and wonderful new ingredients that I had never seen or heard of. My specialty is in West African food, particularly recipes from Burkina Faso, using ingredients like rice, peanuts, beans, and vegetables like onions, cabbage, carrots, etc. I have also created new recipes that blend local ingredients from Lancaster County. I have studied American cuisine through Harrisburg Area Community College’s Culinary Arts Program.  I can also make some Pennsylvania Dutch food.

The kitchen is my happy place, and it’s where I feel the most comfortable.

Curiosity led me to experiment and test recipes when I first moved here, and I continue to experiment with ingredients, resulting in recipes that I am proud of. I always use fresh ingredients and every dish I make is made with love!

I started Isabelle Cuisine in 2015, with my catering business, going to special events, and to local markets, such as Lititz Farmers’ Market, Eastside Market at Musser Park in downtown Lancaster and Farmers’ Market in Hershey. I have catered weddings, birthday parties, and company picnics, developing a menu that is customized to your needs. My knowledge of many cuisines allows me to offer a varied menu for different tastes.

I look forward to sharing my love of food with you and creating the perfect Isabelle Cuisine menu just for you.

Catering Your Way

I’m glad that you are interested in my services! Please read over the note below to learn how to book an event or place an order.

Many of the dishes on my menu are recipes that I developed, except for the ethnic ones. I take great pride in my finished products. I don’t comprise quality. I invest a lot of time in making great food.

My menu is unique because it gives you the client the option to serve your guests ethnic, or Western-style cuisine. You also have the option of serving a combination of both cuisines. This gives your guests the opportunity to discover new flavors while still enjoying familiar ones!

If you have a special recipe that you would like me to make for an event, I would be open to that!

Getting Started

First, please read my contract/policy. If you agree with all its terms and would like to work with me, please email, call, or fill out the Contact Me form. Tell me about your event, the menu you would like, the number of guests, the event venue, and the time.

Next Steps

I will get back to you with feedback and suggestions if needed. I will be happy to custom-build a menu for you if that is your preference! My goal is to serve foods that awaken taste buds and keep them alive from the very first bite to the very
last one for you and your guests!

Fresh & Innovative

After the menu is finalized, I will send you a quote. If you agree with the quote, I will send you an invoice for the non-refundable deposit. Please note that the minimum number of guests I cater to is 10.
I make my food from scratch. I don’t outsource from other vendors, except for produce, cheeses, meats, and some basic necessities from the grocery.
